A long, lively and bustling service area greets you above a deep verde marble counter as you walk through the double height space of this strongly linear café, defined by rough textures of white brick, peeks of concrete and splashes of wild tropic fabrics.

The counter joins the scale of the space by use of a stilted framework of metal, serving as display and storage of products under rows of plants. An integrated retail space of rattan and glass shelving brushes your side as you walk towards the staircase to the teased but more tucked away mezzanine space.

The cut-out of the stairs is further emphasised by a screen of rattan in metal frames and custom milled beads of wood, vaguely allowing flashes of the upstairs area till the landing, where a full rolling view of the café opens up under a patterned ceiling adorned with a number of large flat hemispherical chandeliers that bring the space to a warmer human scale.
